I'm getting tired of excuses from the Democrats. Two thirds or not, I haven't seen any decent leadership regarding our revenue stream that's been broken since Measure 5 passed 17 years ago.

The only person in the state party who seems to get this is Barbara Roberts. Everybody else just seems to want to cover their own ass and avoid anything controversial while they build their portfolios to run for higher office (like, say, the US Senate).

We're sacrificing an entire generation of kids due to this lack of political spine. Do they have no shame?

On Measure 50, the democrats are in control, but don't have the all-important 2/3 majority it would take to ensure passage of Healthy Kids (thus, the Constitutional amendment attempt). Not exactly holding my breath for that, either, but I'd love to see Healthy Kids get passed somehow/someway.
